An App Inside My App
I just launched a new app… inside my app.
Things — the headline feature in Today Planned v4 — could have shipped on its own. Everyone I showed it to asked why I didn't.
So what is it? Things helps you knock out all the little things throughout your day, from one place, without losing your context:
- Write a quick note, or a full markdown one
- Scan a document
- Save a link — and annotate it
- Actually, annotate anything: that screenshot, that website you want to give more meaning
Save into Things from anywhere — Share Sheet, Shortcuts, drag & drop, even straight from the clipboard. And you organize it the way you think — folders, tags, colors, icons. I love beautifully designed apps, and Things is exactly how I like my… things 😉
And this is just the beginning.
Here's the part people question: Today Planned is a one-time purchase. Buy it once, it's yours, it keeps getting better with every update.
It works because the app doesn't need a subscription. Your things sync across devices — that's iCloud, not my server. On Mac they even show up as plain folders and files in Finder. It watches your calendar locally, private by design, and rings alarms that cut through Silent Mode and Do Not Disturb. Why would I charge you monthly for things your device already does?
No team, no servers, just me — building something so good you can't not tell a friend. You get more than you expected, you tell someone, positive loop. That's the win.
And it's working: since launching Things, I've doubled my active users.
Today Planned v4 is live on the App Store.
